The Effectiveness of the Ideal Model in Achievement and Developing Environmental Awareness in Geography among Fifth-Grade Literary Students

Abstract

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of the Ideal Model in achieving achievement and developing environmental awareness in geography among fifth-grade literary students. The researcher selected Al-AL-Karama Secondary School for Girls, affiliated with the Baghdad Governorate Center, Baghdad / first Rusafa of Education. To conduct the experiment, the researcher used a quasi-experimental design with pre- and prostituting. The researcher selected Section (B) to represent the experimental group, which studies according to the Ideal Model, and Section (A) to represent the control group. The research sample consisted of (62) students, with (31) students in each group. The researcher used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed the superiority of the experimental group students who studied according to the Ideal model in achievement and on the post-test of environmental awareness. There were also statistically significant differences favoring the post-test results over the pre-test results of the experimental group. Consequently, the researcher recommended several measures, including adopting educational programs based on the Ideal model for teaching geography to fifth-grade humanities students, given its effectiveness in increasing their academic achievement. She also suggested several proposals, including exploring the effectiveness of the Ideal model across other grade levels and subjects
